Hey Karen, Great expression, it's a good thing you didn't catch its big sister. Do you think there is a chance to see a six foot river otter? Do the caiman eat snakes or otters? Have been enjoying your enthusiastic commentary.

OOOOOh you are so brave! The snake is small but still a snake. It sounds like your trip is going really well. I assume you have a ton of pictures. We will have to get together. I bet Allison would love an adventure like that. Take care.

Hi Jack! i agree with you about the "big sister" snake! There is a chance of seeing a river otter...they did see 2 yesterday. It isn't the best time of year for it, however. It's the rainy season here and the extra water covers the banks. The caiman eat water birds, fish and small mammals. I haven't heard about them eating snakes or otters. Thanks for writing!
